Gigi Hadid Says ‘Israel Keeps Children As Prisoners Of War’

 

Model Gigi Hadid, who is American-Palestinian, has made contentious statements about the fighting between Hamas gunmen and Israel forces. The 28-year-old model drew flak for her remarks, saying that Israel “keeps children as prisoners of war” and accused the country of long-standing aggression against the Palestinian people.

The American model and TV celebrity accused Israel on Instagram of murdering, torturing, raping, kidnapping, and dehumanizing Palestinians. She added that Israeli measures preceded the October 7 surprise attack by Hamas fighters. Following criticism, she removed the post.

In her Instagram story, Gigi Hadid emphasized that Israel is the only nation in the world that holds minors as POWs. Her focus was on the case of Ahmed Almanasra, a 13-year-old Palestinian kid who was arrested by Israeli police for attacking a security guard and a younger Israeli youngster.

He received a 12-year prison sentence. After then, his sentence was shortened to 9.5 years. The supermodel accused Israel of imprisoning many Palestinian children in Israeli jails in appalling conditions during the Israel-Hamas conflict.

She further claimed that illegal organ harvesting from slain Palestinians was carried out by Israeli forces. She did not back up her allegation with any evidence, so this statement increased the negative sentiment directed towards her.
