Eric Adams’ Hotel-For-Migrants Money Pit In NYC

The 110th mayor of New York City (NYC), Eric Adams, is increasing expenditure on immigrants as the city is legally obligated to accommodate the increasing demands of recent newcomers.

New York City taxpayers have already forked over $4.3 billion to house and assist newly arrived migrants. The funds will support New York City immigrants.

Replicating the events of early August, when refugees were abandoned to sleep on the streets or in front of police stations, is the aim. The government announced thousands of additional beds at makeshift shelters in New York City for immigrant families.

Amidst the immigration issue, New York City has relinquished its contract with the Roosevelt Hotel. Mayor Adams’ premier migrant center is located in the Midtown Manhattan region of New York City and is called the Roosevelt Hotel.

May saw the opening of the welcome center. In the Roosevelt Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, migrants were provided with food and shelter.

But informed sources claim that the mayor never dispatched a senior deputy to the hotel to assess the migrant issue.

The epidemic caused the hotel to close. It reopened to accommodate several thousand migrants. With plans to open an additional 675 rooms, the Roosevelt Hotel has opened 175 rooms just for families.

The city welcomed about 4,200 migrants in May. “New York City has now cared for more than 65,000 asylum seekers,” stated Mayor Eric Adams.
