Solidarity Illuminated: Striking Nurses' Candlelight Vigil Shines Bright

In the heart of New Brunswick on a Tuesday evening, a powerful scene unfolded. Striking nurses hailing from the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJU) in New Jersey gathered for a candlelight vigil that epitomized their unwavering dedication.

The setting was poignant - it was the fifth night of the nurses' strike organized by the USW Local 4-200, comprising around 1,700 nurses. As the sun dipped below the horizon, these nurses lit candles along the picket line, casting a warm glow amidst their determined stand.

"I adore my job as a nurse. It's all I've ever wanted to do," shared Carol Tanzi, a nurse, encapsulating the sentiments of many in her profession. The candlelight vigil served as a testament to their commitment to their patients, their community, and their profession.
