Meet Ram Tiwari, a skilled farmer from a remote area in Uttar Pradesh, who embarked on a journey of 1,500 km to Siddipet, Telangana, in search of seasonal employment due to the lack of local opportunities. However, Tiwari is not alone in this pursuit. In recent weeks, a significant number of individuals from Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Bihar have flocked to Siddipet, attracted by the labor-intensive farming activities flourishing despite inadequate rainfall during the rainy season.

This sudden influx of migrant farm workers highlights the challenges faced by rural communities in finding sustainable livelihoods.
