The Government Of Abu Dhabi Has Taken A Progressive Step By Officially Inaugurating The Union for Human Rights Association.

The Ministry of Community Development announced on Tuesday the official registration of the Union for Human Rights Association as a public benefit organization. Based in Abu Dhabi, the association’s mission is to protect and promote human rights across the entire UAE.

With 16 human rights experts on staff, the organization aims to advise on national reports submitted to international bodies and help the UAE meet global development standards. It seeks to foster an understanding of international law and foster cooperation with other nations.

The association also strives to embed universal human rights principles into all aspects of society. It will raise awareness through training, seminars, and conferences on civil, political, economic, social, cultural, and environmental rights for all citizens.

Additionally, the group will conduct research and publish studies to aid regional and international entities. Complaints from the public regarding rights issues will also be reviewed and addressed to relevant authorities.

Overall, the establishment of the Union for Human Rights Association stands to greatly benefit civil society by advocating for sustainable protections from Abu Dhabi at both the domestic and international levels.
