School For Migrant Children Opens In Denver; What To Expect From US?
In the last 12 months, Denver, the state capital of Colorado in the west of the United States, has welcomed close to 30,000 migrants from the southern border. The city’s shelter system is home to about 2,600 migrants. There are about 200 migrants camped out on the streets in tents.
Denver Mayor Mike Johnston has pleaded with the Joe Biden administration to permit immigration-related employment. Amid the migration crisis, Denver has created a school for the offspring of migrants. “ViVe School,” a nonprofit, has launched for immigrant children residing in Denver shelters.
While their parents hunt for jobs in the city, migrant children will receive an education thanks to ViVe Wellness.
“Children are our future, in my opinion, they are something very special, and we must help them, support them, take care of them, and give them the best we can,” stated Yoli Casas, executive director of ViVe Wellness.
To assist migrant children in learning English, ViVe Wellness established ViVe School. Children of migrants can receive an education at ViVe Wellness through ViVe School.
The school can accommodate roughly 85 students at this time. Nearly 600 migrant children are housed in shelters, though. Every immigrant child is to be taught by the school.
ViVe Wellness asked citizens and government officials in the US to support them in this endeavor. The nonprofit stated, “It would be great if you could support us, if you have space where we can create other schools for these children every four or five weeks and prepare them for school, also allowing the parentsto work.”
