Plight Of Pregnant Women In Gaza; They Face Deliveries On Their Own
The Israel-Hamas conflict has caused agony for expectant mothers in the Gaza Strip. 5,500 of the 50,000 pregnant women confined in the Gaza Strip are due to give birth in the upcoming month. They receive no medical attention and very minimal sustenance to survive. Pregnant women occasionally have to birth on their own.
The crisis is having an impact on 50,000 pregnant women, according to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). “Imagine going through that process in your last trimester before giving birth, with possible complications, without clothing, without hygiene, support, and not knowing what the next day, next hour, or next minute will bring for themselves and for their unborn child,” said Allen of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
Due to the ongoing conflict between Hamas terrorists and Israeli forces, the healthcare system in the Gaza Strip has completely failed. Women and children in the Gaza Strip are suffering more now as a result of Israeli bombings.
Women continue to be delayed in receiving assistance in the convoys carrying humanitarian aid, according to Dominic Allen, the UNFPA representative for the Palestinian Territories.
To deliver their kids, pregnant women require immediate medical care. The fighting has left Hamas’s healthcare systems without necessary medical supplies. Humanitarian disaster has resulted from the Israel-Hamas fighting in the area.
