LinkedIn to layoff 668 workers; Who all are at risk?
LinkedIn, a Microsoft-owned company, announced on Monday that they are laying off about 668 employees across various teams.
“Talent changes are a difficult, but necessary and regular part of managing our business. The changes we shared with our team today will result in a reduction of approximately 668 roles across our engineering, product, talent and finance teams,” the company said in its official blog post.
This is the second time this year that LinkedIn has announced cuts this year; in May, 716 people were laid off, with the company claiming that the action was taken to “re-organize for greater agility and growth.”
137 members of the Engineering management team and 38 members of the Product team will lose their jobs at Microsoft-owned LinkedIn. The Engineering department will lay off about 368 staff. According to the corporation, there would be a total of 563 layoffs in the R & D department.
