US: Shortage of Skilled Workers Dampens Construction Industry
The lack of skilled workers is slowing progress and generating concerns within the sector, which is a serious problem for the US construction industry and is affecting projects all throughout the country.
Experienced experts, such as carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and masons, are in high demand but in short supply as the demand for building projects, from infrastructure improvements to home constructions, continues to expand.
The COVID-19 epidemic further exacerbated the issue by disrupting training and recruitment efforts. Many experienced professionals are approaching retirement age, and there hasn't been a substantial influx of younger talent to replace them.
