According to recent reports, more than 600,000 Nepali migrant workers have left the country since July in search of better job prospects.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on Nepal's economy, leading to a surge in unemployment and poverty. As a result, many people are forced to look for work opportunities abroad to support themselves and their families.

While overseas employment can provide financial benefits, it also comes with various challenges, such as the risk of exploitation and abuse. Nepali migrant workers are particularly vulnerable due to language barriers, lack of legal knowledge, and limited access to resources.

Therefore, it is crucial to protect the rights and ensure the welfare of Nepali migrant workers. The government and other stakeholders must take steps to address the issues faced by migrant workers and promote safe migration. This includes implementing policies and programs that provide access to information, education, and legal assistance to migrant workers.
